BioOnco is developing targeted and controlled release formulations for Oncology products and therapeutic proteins. Our platform is based on new biodegradable molecules that will develop through a novel method which allows the easy fabrication of particles with versatile surface properties . These particles are the first delivery vehicles of their kind and can be derived from natural sources and targeted to individual cell types with high specificity, thus minimizing the risk of side effects and maximizing the qualities desired . These particles which will self-assemble into well-defined small particles of high homogeneity with high efficiency and drug loading . Our platform takes advantages of the cell’s ability to hydrolyse our formulation into hydrophilic compounds that release encapsulated therapeutics at an accelerated rate in the acidic environments to which they are targeted. These biodegradable particles have shown potential for use in intracellular delivery and sustained release of therapeutic drugs to the acidic environments of tumors, inflammatory tissues and intracellular vesicles that hold foreign matter
